Howard University College of Pharmacy

Howard University was founded in 1867.  Soon after, Pharmacy instruction at Howard University began in the “Department of Medicine” in 1868.  The initial program, held in the evening, offered students a “knowledge of the art and science of pharmacy”.Since this early beginning, the College of Pharmacy has been among the leaders in the preparation of individuals for rewarding careers in pharmacy.

The College of Pharmacy currently offers an entry-level four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree program, a two-year post-B.S. Pharm.D. degree program, a Non-traditional Pharm.D. degree program, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
